One of the things that I look forward to during this time of year is receiving Christmas cards in the mail. I eagerly check my box each day anticipating what family I get to see looking great in their Christmas duds. Sadly, many family and friends I know don’t do Christmas cards, but hopefully you’re not one of them. Not only is it a great way to spread Christmas cheer and connect with others, but it’s a great memory and keepsake that I’m sure will be treasured as the years continue to go by.

I mentioned in this post that I say “Awwwww” a lot when looking at things from the past, so you probably aren’t surprised that I have a hard time parting with old Christmas cards. About three years ago, I decided I needed a creative and neat way to store Christmas cards that still allowed me to pull them out during this time of year. If you’re looking for a way to store your Christmas cards, continue reading. This post’s for you!

 Supplies Needed

·         Hole puncher

·        Binder rings like these {you can get them at any office supply store}

·        Printer

·        Card stock {optional but recommended}

·        Laminator {optional}

·        Christmas Cards

So, I won’t bore you with the play by play with what I did. You get it. But I will let you know that I have created and am sharing the labels here starting with 2009 through 2014 for you to print and use.  These are very simple cover pages for your Christmas cards...simple, but effective.

I wanted something cute to store these in so after a quick trip to Michael’s, I think I like my Christmas card holding sleigh.

 What do you do with Christmas cards you receive? Do you display them? Put them in a box? Say “awwwww” and then move on? Are you sending Christmas cards this year?

...anticipating the flood of Christmas cards we'll receive this year!

  1. AWWW (lol)! That is such a great idea! You are sooooo organized! wow! I will send out Christmas cards this year (my first family pic with the baby...yay). But, I do not organize the ones I receive. I saw awww, enjoy them for the season and move on...but I do keep the cards. It would be nice to be able to look back though. Now that I have a family, I'm going to start this!

    1. It is so fun to look back on these cards and see how everyone has grown and changed! And the good things is that once you set this up, each year thereafter is a breeze because you're just hole punching your new cards! Looking forward to receiving your Christmas card in the mail soon! :)

  2. This is yet another one of your great ideas....I'm not quite in the stage of my life where I send cards and even receive them....but I will definitely keep this neat way of organizing them in my mind.

    1. Hey Davia! You can definitely do this for all cards! It makes storing, saving, and viewing them so much easier once you have a system in place that works. You sound like you might save things like I do...I have all kinds of cards pre and post wedding! I even have cards from my 21st birthday! LOL!
